The 21st century world, in which we live, aches for a biblically-grounded, solid, consistent, and loving voice. My motive for writing this blog centers on these standards, while desiring to provide our future fan-base with these qualities. Furthermore, we aspire to convey the message of Jesus Christ to every home in America and around the world. We ask you to help us attain these two goals by reading our blog twice a month and directing your friends and family to our blog as well.

What will you receive from reading this blog? You will learn each month about a unique ministry distributing the gospel throughout America and around the world in a variety of ways. You will also learn the “behind the scenes,” day-to-day activities of this ministry and about recent news stories and political agendas from a biblical perspective. We will seek to share our viewpoint towards controversial and high-profile topics while also helping you gain biblical knowledge to utilize in your own lives and/or ministries, pertaining to different issues that arise. Lastly, we will present different avenues of how you can get involved to change the world through this ministry.

We will write two blogs per month. One blog will focus on an aspect of our ministry. You may read a story about a child in Africa or a man in the jungle of Brazil. You will also read about people right here in America and how the Lord changed their lives. Salvations, discipleship, praise reports, prayer requests, traveling, and life-altering experiences will saturate one of these blogs each month. In addition, our other blog will elaborate on recent news and political stories from a theological perspective.

What about the name? You may find yourself interested in how we decided on the name for this blog, Focal Point. Dictionary.com defines Focal Point in the following manner: “The point at which all elements or aspects converge; center of activity or attention.” As Christians, every decision, circumstance, belief, or perspective must converge with the Bible. Furthermore, every aspect of a Christ follower’s life must illuminate Jesus as the “center of activity or attention.” This blog will strive to accomplish this task. From what the Lord does in this ministry to how Christians deal with “hot topics,” this blog will attempt to provide you with encouragement, knowledge, and boldness to impact your world.

Colossians 2:6-8, “Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.”
